Abstract. For its 8th edition, the Web3D Industrial Use Cases Workshop enable practitioners to demonstrate how 3D Web technologies may be used in industrial applications.
This special track during Web3D 2020 is devoted to industrial use cases on Digital Twin visualization with consideration of multiple topics to include sharing inspiration, 5G internet, best practices and requirements for using 3D in VR, AR, XR. Novel application domains include smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, CAD, Internet of Things (IoT), smart manufacturing plants, smart cities, SIG, smart buildings and architecture, and Building Information Models (BIM). Topics of interest are diverse and include medical, science, education, cultural heritage, entertainment, etc.
Participation proposals are submitted and reviewed in advance. Submissions are in the form of short papers (2 pages) to prepare workshop participants. Please provide presenters names, affiliations, and contact information, title of the presentation, and a short summary. The 2-page paper submission should describe:
- The topic of interest
- The originality/innovation
- Intended audience
