Abstract. Deep inside the atomic nucleus there are strange and colorful things afoot. This paper provides the first integrated views into the new Reference Model of the proton physics and the instrumentation needed for its measurement. Our unique interdisciplinary team has developed a processing pipeline for producing a set of scientific visualizations that provide interactive 3D views into high-dimensional particle physics information. In this paper, we describe the data and the pipeline, reflecting on the key design issues and choices we made along the way. We consider lessons learned in creating visualization for scientists and citizens across installed applications, Web3D, and Virtual Reality.
