The Web is a great way to reach an ample public; Web3D makes this reaching out interactive. A growing applicative field exploiting these opportunities is certainly the Fashion Industry, which in these last years has been going through an impressive virtualization of its production chain.
This special track is dedicated to the results and new challenges to bring the fashion industry in the 3D Web: virtual fashion show, virtual pattern making and garment construction, fit assessment, material characterization and simulation, 3D/4D scanning, import of assets, collaborative tools, exchange formats, are just a few examples.
The Special Track “Digital Fashion in the Web” during the Web3D conference has the aim to bring together all actors – algorithm and software developers, material engineers, designers – and allow intensive communication and development in the fashion-related topics.
