WEB3D 2021 CONFERENCE

The conference is hosted by Visual Computing Lab of CNR-ISTI, Pisa – Italy, and sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH in cooperation with the Web3D Consortium. Join researchers, technologists, and artists working with 3D graphics on the web!

The goal of the conference is to share innovative and creative ideas about web-based interactive 3D applications. Works related to various domains, including content creation, 3D printing, fabrication, publishing technologies, web tools, annotation, VR/AR, rendering, and many others, are welcome.

This year’s theme is “A Shared 3D Workspace” to emphasize the increasingly global scope and the wide impact of working together online, which has been the staple of the last year. The suddenly switch to remote teaching/working/interacting raised many urgent requests for new tools, systems, and paradigms. These new needs touched also the 3D world, prompting the Web3D community to foster and support the increasing development and use of 3D content in a shared online environment.

Call For Papers

The Web3D 2021 Call For Papers is out! Main Track: 3D on the Web in all its forms and flavours, with a session focused on “Web3D For Covid Response”. Plus: interactive posters, tutorials, industrial use cases.

Online Legacies and Cultural Heritage

Special Track aimed at exploring what is the legacy and the impact of 3D web technologies in documenting, interpreting, and showcasing Cultural Heritage.

Digital Fashion in the Web

Special Track dedicated to new challenges and results in bringing the Fashion Industry in the Web3D: import of assets, collaborative tools, clothes simulation, virtual fashion shows, and much more.

Journal Publication

All accepted papers and posters will be included in the ACM Digital Library. Moreover, the extended versions of the best papers will be published in three different indexed Journals.
